An upside down and backwards day

We began our day as usual with 5 au quotidien and then working on our personal story. Some students finished their plans, with the schema narratif and 6 grandes questions. We continue working on them tomorrow, and I will show in class a few platforms they could choose to use to present their good copy. (Have you checked out Storybird? It's a pretty cool site!)

In math, we've moved on to decimals. Using drawing and manipulatives, we figured out how to represent different numbers. Remember, a decimal number uses a comma rather than a period in French! (3,56 instead of 3.56) Everyone seemed to catch on pretty quickly. If you were away for soccer, I saved you the worksheet, you lucky ducks!

In social studies, we read some different information from the Canadian government website in groups, discussing some of the first European explorers, their interactions with the First Nations people here, and the arrival of Jesuits. We then shared our findings with the class.

For physical education, we went outside on this lovely day, and practiced using beanbags, for all sorts of things... We tossed them, passed them with our feet, and then tried to steal them from the other team!
