Our new 5 au quotidien station is working out great - students seem to be enjoying watching Les Parent (one student exclaimed "TV at school? This is awesome!!!").
We continued our exploration of narrative texts by talking about adjectives, adverbs, and the importance of descriptions. We looked at a passage in Harry Potter (in French) describing The Great Hall and figured out how descriptors help to bring the story alive. Then, students got into partners and one person described the image while the other person (not looking at the image) attempted to draw it, using their partners descriptions. Many turned out really well!

In math, we continued with a patterning worksheet, working with tables and wooden block shapes. Most students finished in class.
For social studies, we looked at the regions that were designated as New France, and then pulled out information regarding where two specific groups (the Iroquois and the Algonquin) lived.
Physical Education ended the day, and 3 groups shared their cooperative games. A few more to go! Here's some static stretching at the end of class:

A reminder that picture day is tomorrow! Practice smiling :)
