A Spooktacular Day

Happy Halloween to those dressing up and heading out this evening!

After comparing outfits this morning, we completed our 5 au quotidien and finished working on our perspectives of characters - if this was not finished in class it is for homework.

In math we have begun time. Students estimated and then timed themselves doing various activities, we made our own paper clocks for future use, and then began looking at some time problems. Time is something you can easily work on at home if your child finds telling or calculating time challenging (e.g., "We left the house at 4:30 and it takes half an hour to get there, so what time will we arrive?")

This afternoon we made two types of monsters; one with origami and another as a class collaboration. Ask your child how they turned out! Here are a few preview pics:

After our monster-making, we watched Hotel Transylvania en français and enjoyed some munchies! Thanks to those who provided some treats! Elsa says have a great evening!
