Our morning got a bit switched around, but we had fun nonetheless! We started with researching for our new dance project - students chose a type of dance they would like to explore from www.dancewheel.ca (minus the blue interdisciplinary category) and we talked about what a good web search would look like for this.
After some cold time outside in the snow, we warmed up with some Cuban salsa! I showed the students an example of what their dance project should contain, and then we learned some salsa moves! Boy was I impressed, ask your child if they're willing to show you what they learned ;)
In math, students explored angles in our wooden blocks and sorted them accordingly. We discovered that most of the blocks contained 120 and 60 degree angles.

In the afternoon, we got to write to our pen pals in France! We're using the website epals. Each student wrote a personal message to their new friend, and sent it off like an email. It was really cool to watch their faces as they clicked the "To" button and saw the name of their new penpal appear! Hopefully we hear back soon :)
