What a hands-on day! This morning we had our usual library routine, including some French reading and MakerSpace. We headed outside for some APQ time in the snow, before it all gets messy tomorrow...Back inside I introduced some new tech for our listening centre during 5 au quotidien.

For math, we walked around trying to solve other people's riddles for which polygon they were describing. Some were really tricky! Ask your child which shape they chose to describe. We also briefly started to look at 3D shapes and make some out of plasticine.

In the afternoon, we looked at solids, liquids, and gases, trying to come up with definitions and examples. We had a brief interesting discussion about what category fire might be in, and decided none! We moved onto combining cornstarch and water, and played with our strange solid/liquid slime while watching some cool videos! Ask your child when the slime acted like a solid and when it acted like a liquid! It was a neat messy experiment!

At the end of the day, we returned to the library to learn some research skills for our dance project from Mrs. Greer. We now know much more efficient methods for searching!

I'm going to guess ahead here and call it as a no bus day tomorrow...please be super careful on the roads!
