So You Think You Can Dance?

Welcome back people! Always a Tuesday and Wednesday, so weird...

Anyway, everyone worked on task during 5 au quotidien, and we got some indoor exercise for APQ as the wind chill put us about -20... Then we looked at some YouTube "how to" videos in French, to analyze them according to our success criteria for procedural writing. We looked at how to make giant bubble solution as a class, and then students paired up to find their own video to critique. There was everything from ribbon gymnastics, to slime, to slingshots! We will continue this tomorrow.

In math, we continued our exploration of 3D shapes. We learned their names, and made quite a few with plasticine. Tomorrow we will be making the nets of the 3D shapes!

For the last two periods, students researched their dance project. In their groups, they chose a style of dance, and are looking at its cultural origins. Then they are learning a few basic steps and will be teaching the class next week! I can't wait - we've got everything from Turkish folk dance to the Cha-Cha!

Lastly, if you happen to be in the school, check out our moccasin display in the front case by the office!
