What a lovely day for some skiing! We spent a good 2hours in 2 groups in the forest, going down and up all sorts of hills, with twists and turns, different kinds of scenery, boy it was great! I'm so proud of everyone, I saw significant improvement in many students' skills.
This afternoon we tried to continue with fractions, but I could see their brains melting - can't really blame them after that much of an excursion haha. We moved on to wrapping up our First Nations and European Settlers unit by answering some questions we'd come up with as a group near the middle of our unit (it was awesome that we had the knowledge to answer them now!) and listening to a book based on a residential school experience. I hope that even though this unit may be over, students never stop asking tough questions and investigating. We will be moving onto Canadian Government next week, which will last us to the end of the year.
Here's some action shots from today!
