Theatre

For the first half of the day today we headed off to Orangeville Theatre to watch "Le manteau." I really enjoyed it, and I think the students did too! Even though a couple of characters had thick Francophone accents, they spoke slowly enough and enunciated so that everyone could understand. It was very cool that it was all in French. Thanks to parent volunteers for coming!

In the afternoon, we continued looking at chemical reactions. I brought in a nice mac apple and cut it in half, simply placing one half on the table and the other half got covered in lemon juice. Students made predictions, and then we looked at some other chemical change information until sufficient time had passed. When we looked back at the two apple halves, boy did they look different! Ask your child what happened and why!

We're continuing fractions in math. We took up the homework from over the weekend, and I worked with a smaller group while others began work on other questions. I'm going to make another post today with some links for fractions help :)
