It's All About Perspective!

This morning we continued our Canadian govt introduction by conducting some research in the library. We tried to find out some different people in power in Canada, as well as municipal, provincial, and federal responsibilities. We then spent some time outside in the sunshine before receiving a special visitor! Mme Phillion-Smith came in to read some more of our book, Un voyage inattendu. Thanks for the visit!

In math, we continued with our work from yesterday, most students finishing the assigned pages. Others tried out a few trickier problems I wrote on the board, concerning Mr. P, Ms. Fleeton, and lots of pies.... Please refer to my "Equivalent Fractions" post if your child is still saying they're finding fractions very challenging.

For the entire afternoon, we learned about drawing in one-point perspective. We tried a landscape as a class, experimented more on our own, and then several students started good copies. I'm excited to see the finished products!
