Play With Clay

For something different before the long weekend, we tried out pottery! I've done a fair bit, enjoying Play With Clay during my free time and working as a camp counsellor at the Clay and Glass Gallery in Waterloo, so I was happy to share my skills! Unfortunately, it's a bit too complicated to use firing clay (anyone have a spare kiln?) so we just used air dry class, but we went over several techniques, such as making coils, pinch pots, and using slip&score to attach pieces together. Then students were given free time to make something Earth Day-related, in preparation for next week! Check out the exploring, and the finished projects drying at the end!
