Two Art Projects Finished!

We've been working very hard on our poetry recently. Most students' feedback ha been to try and dig a little deeper and write about an emotion or memory that's important to them. We will be choosing one of our poems soon to make a good copy.

In math, we are wrapping up our area and perimetre unit with a fun project! Pictures of that tomorrow :)

We've also finished up two art projects. The first was painting and glazing our Earth week poetry. They turned out beautifully and can be brought home tomorrow. If they break, hot glue is great for putting pieces back on.

Secondly, we looked at Monet's waterlily paintings for some inspiration. We watched a video of a news reporter heading to Giverny, the backdrop for his famous paintings, and how to plant a waterlily! Then we looked at several of his paintings for technique and tried it out ourselves. Look how beautifully they turned out!
