Earthkeepers Day 3

When it rains, it pours right? Well students didn't seem to mind! It was a cold, soggy day, yet everyone had a great time :)

Students from Mlle Bradfield, Mlle Blakely/Mme Brossard, and Mlle Edwards' Gr5s all came together to partake in the last day activities. There was a hope of earning their "E" key for experience by the end of the day....

Here students are experiencing what it's like to look through an owl pellet! (Don't worry, all pellets have been thoroughly sanitized!) You can see them transferring bones onto another page and categorizing them with a chart. Ask your child what animal they most likely found inside!

Students are inside the Munch Station taking a break from the weather. After filling in some important information and reflecting, they headed out with their new "E" key to find the corresponding boxes.

Despite the rain, the fires stayed lit enough to roast a couple of marshmallows each! Yum!

Students also helped the area by taking out an invasive species: Garlic Mustard. Ask your child how many plants they pulled out and what makes it an invasive species.

I was very impressed by the lack of complaints and the amount of effort put forth by everyone. Here's hoping to a drier, sunnier week ahead!
